Pipelines 2 Possibilites is Seeking Black/African American Faculty

Published 12/08/2021

For the past six years, California Community Colleges have been in partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), through the transfer guarantee program.  Once again, we have connected California Community Colleges with HBCUs by building pathways for HBCU graduate students seeking careers in California Community Colleges (CCC).

In partnership with the CCC Chancellor’s office, the Pipelines2Possibilities (P2P) LLC https://pipelines2possibilities.org/) implemented an internship program with a mission to offer an HBCU graduate intern program designed to develop an intentional faculty pipeline within the CCCC state-wide districts through proactive recruitment, training, during and retention of diverse tenured faculty aimed to diminished equity gaps and meet the needs of our diverse student population to improve student success.

In the spring of 2021, we successfully piloted the first P2P cohort! The P2P Program will be conducting Phase II in Spring 2022, with a cohort of 10 HBCU graduate interns. Our team is reaching out to you in hopes that you can assist us in identifying potential Black/African American faculty to serve as mentors from all disciplines.
